Processing, freezing and export of pelagic and demersal fish from Saint-Louis — FAO 34 fishing zone.
Sky Blu International operates a processing and freezing plant at the Goxu Mbacc fishing quay in Saint-Louis, one of the major small-scale fishing hubs in West Africa. We buy directly from the pirogues, process on site, and ship by refrigerated truck or reefer container.
Everything happens on the quay. That is what makes the difference on arrival.
Lot selection at the auction, freshness check crate by crate, direct negotiation with the pirogues.
Separation by species then by size — P, M ou G — in a sorting room fitted with stainless-steel tables.
20 kg cartons, food-grade liner, labelling with species, grade and dates.
Blast freezing down to −35 °C, then cold-store holding.
Wrapped pallets, joint counting, loading into refrigerated transport.
Reefer container, or refrigerated truck to Guinea, Mali and Burkina Faso. Health and customs documentary set supplied.
Two families of products: those we handle all year round, and those that depend on the season. All are graded P · M · G and packed in 20 kg cartons.
Available all year, subject to landings.
Depending on the season — please enquire for availability and tonnage.
Something specific? Give us the species, the size grade and the tonnage: we will tell you whether we can supply, at what price and on what lead time. Request a quotation →
These photographs were taken in our Saint-Louis plant. Our buyers would rather see the fish as it is than a catalogue image.
In this trade a buyer can only verify three things: the grade announced, how the product holds up on arrival, and whether the lead time is met. Everything else is talk.
Additional certifications. HACCP and further export approvals are being put together; we do not display them until they are granted.
20 kg net cartons, grades P · M · G, wrapped pallets. Marking: species, grade, freezing date, expiry date.
20′ or 40′ reefer container for Asia, Europe and Africa. Refrigerated truck for Guinea, Mali and Burkina Faso, served by road.
Commercial invoice, packing list, health certificate and certificate of origin. Incoterms: please enquire per destination.
Species, grade, tonnage, port of destination: four details are enough to get a firm price.
